Shayesteh Haghighatpanah, from School of Engineering, is making her dissertation publically available. The titles of her dissertation is ”Computational studies of graphene and single walled carbon nanotube growth and carbonaceous polymeric nanocomposites”.
She has studied the growth of graphen and single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT). Both materials, graphen and nanotubes have attracted a lot of attention lately due to their special electrical, mechanical and optical properties. It is challenging to create graphen and SWNT material bcause the properties are highly dependent on their atomic structure and the desired materials should contain very few or no defects.
Shayesteh Haghighatpanah will publicly defend her dissertation the 23rd of September in D517 at 10.
