Quote on Open Access

Swedish

“In my opinion, the best argument for open access is that it’s the right thing to do. I ted to equate these efforts to preserve the environment. For example, we are morally obligated to recycle and to not pollute our environment. we may not see the immediate effects of making these little choices, but they are very important to the world as a whole. With respect to open acess, we all need to do what’s right to ensure equitable access to research outputs, instead of heavily favouring the rich developed world.” Andrea Kosavic

From ALCTS Scholarly Communications Interest Gourp Meeting, Madison hotel, 1177 15th Street, Dolly Madison (lower ballroom) June 27th 2010, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
