Seminar on Research data management
The seminar will provide advice for anyone who is at the beginning of a research project (or supervises one) on how to manage research data for increased efficiency and sustainability.
“Data management” covers a number of activities that are, or should be, part of any research process which relies to a significant extent on empirical material. From the planning and funding stages, through data collection, analysis, publication and archiving, well-considered data management makes the research process more efficient and makes it easier for the research group as well as other researchers to access the archived material in the future.
The seminar will explore some key aspects of data management, including data management plans, technological considerations, and ethical and legal perspectives. It will provide ample opportunity for discussions.
The seminar will be open for all researchers (incl. PhD students) at the University of Borås. It is arranged as part of the PhD course “Information seeking for doctoral students” and will pay particular attention to the concerns of PhD students, but we do have plenty of room for additional participants.
